Following the 6-2 shellacking of the New York Rangers on Monday night (and a hat trick from Tyler Johnson), pretty much everybody who covers the NHL decided now was a good time to unload that big, narrative-y feature they've been sitting on centered on Tampa Bay's (and the NHL's) playoff points leader. Here they all are, collected for your enjoyment, and try to find one without the words "diminutive" or "undrafted":

  • Steven Stamkos, who has been on a number of very productive lines himself in his NHL career, had very high praise for Johnson and his linemates, Ondrej Palat and Nikita Kucherov. [NHL]
  • On "living his dream". [Tampa Bay Times]
  • Some more praise from his teammates (this time Victor Hedman). [ESPN]
  • Even NYR beats have nothing better to write about. Tyler Johnson. Tyler Johnson. Tyler Johnson. [NYDN]
  • The Rangers made a lot of big mistakes. Tyler Johnson was always there to make them pay. [The Star]
  • TylerJohnsonTylerJohnsonTylerJohnsonTylerJohnson [Puck Daddy]
  • How long before the "Tyler Johnson = clutch" narrative reaches Justin Williams-level heights? [Brandon Sun]
  • "Regardless of size, draft standing, or development path, Tyler Johnson is simply one of the best players on the ice." [Eye on Hockey]
  • How Steve Yzerman built the Lightning in the Red Wings' image (which some focus on one T. Johnson). [The Globe and Mail]
  • The latest 'Statistically Speaking' has notes on Tyler Johnson's big game + more from Game 2. [TSN]

Oh, and hey, I guess there was some non-Tyler Johnson newsworthy stuff, too.
