Every Saturday at Amalie Arena, starting on October 17th against the Buffalo Sabres and ending with the regular season finale at home against the New Jersey Devils, the Tampa Bay Lightning will wear their alternate "Bolts" black-and-which jersey system that the team unveiled last season. Two additional dates - against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, January 27 and against the Florida Panthers on Monday, March 28, will also have the Bolts suiting up in their black gear. It doesn't seem like a coincidence that both games against the Maple Leafs have Tampa Bay in their 3rd jersey... all that blue-and-white (if both clubs were wearing their regular uniforms) in one place at one time would be too similar when you want true distinction between the two (and I don't just mean the players on the roster).
