  • Seeing development camp starts today, it's sort of fitting to start our links with (another) draft weekend recap. [The Hopeful Chase]
  • Qualifying offers were tendered to the remaining restricted free agents on the Tampa Bay Lightning roster yesterday: Alex Killorn, Nikita Kucherov, Vladislav Namestnikov and Nikita Nesterov. [Tampa Bay Lightning]
  • While three members of the Syracuse Crunch -€” Yanni Gourde, Tye McGinn and Kristers Gudlevskis -€” were tendered qualifying offers, one player was not. []

  • While this writer isn't thrilled with a majority of the 2016 Hockey Hall of Fame class, I can accept and appreciate the selection of former coach Pat Quinn. Here's the write up from the Vancouver Canucks side of things on his choice to be in the Hall. [Canucks Army]
  • Speaking of Bolts alumni: 2010 1st round pick Brett Connolly, who has been with the Boston Bruins, was not tendered a qualifying offer. He'll be a UFA on Friday. [Today's Slapshot]
  • A report on the diversity in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft class. [Color of Hockey]
  • The Detroit Red Wings are in a transition state after Pavel Datsyuk departed for Russia... But the club is not obstructed by his contract. Credit where it's due: GM Ken Holland deserves praise for clearing things up. [WingsNation]
  • And you know free agency is forthcoming and you know Steven Stamkos is the guy of free agency that everyone wants. It shocked me seeing the headline of this article saying a former Lightning GM linked Stamkos to the Boston Bruins. When I saw it was Brian Lawton that makes the claim, I rolled my eyes and moved on. Now you can read it if you so choose. [The Big Bad Blog]
  • Besides Steven Stamkos or other than Stamkos, just who should the Bruins be after in free agency (and will Don Sweeney do the deed?) [Stanley Cup of Chowder]
  • We're still months from finding out their identity, and more than a year before they begin, but we get a look at the home locker room for the Las Vegas something-or-other franchise. [The Sin Bin]
