Tampa Bay Lightning prospects report: To the Conference Finals!

Three prospects head to round three of their respective playoffs.

Round two is over so we’re on to round three! Katchouk and Raddysh got a bit of scare that their Super Team in the Soo was forced to seven games in the second round.

Otto Somppi was injured and couldn’t help his Mooseheads get farther in the Q playoffs and now he won’t get a chance to play against the super prospect in Alex Barré-Boulet.

As go Tkachouk & Raddysh, so go the Greyhounds. When the two stars team up and score it’s a win for the ‘Hounds, but they weren’t consistent enough this series to make it a quick one, and the Soo saw its toughest opponent in the playoffs almost knock them out of the second round. Now the ‘Hounds will play the Kitchener Rangers, a surprising team this post-season. Is the Soo prepared and more focused for this challenge?

No Somppi, no win. The Mooseheads were without the speedy scorer for the first three games of this series and couldn’t beat the Islanders, and even his comeback attempt to help in game four wasn’t enough. A surprising upset win for Charlottetown sees the Prince Edward Island capital move on to face out next prospect...

Blainville-Boisbriand Armada defeated Moncton Wildcats 4-1 in round two.

Nine points in three games for the newest Lightning prospect. The Armada had a little scare in game four, but got the job done one game longer than they took in round one. Now they face the confident Charlottetown Islanders who already killed one giant in Halifax.

An incredibly close series (until game 7) for the two best teams in the WHL. Single, double AND triple overtime games saw the series pivot back and forth before the final game had Moose Jaw eliminated.
