This week’s Tampa Bay Lightning poll: who wins the Eastern Conference Championship?

New, comments

This post-season, Senior Columnist Clark Brooks will take the pulse of Raw Charge nation with a weekly poll about current or future events and non-happenings, for the sake of accomplishing not much, probably.

Clearly, I know what I’m doin’ over here.

“Wanna hear something crazy...

I was on the bruins page and the responses were almost identical…only with the majority choosing the bruins to win. Crazy! Whoda thunk it?!?! These polls are bs.” - Ihatetheflyers on Apr 28, 2018, in response to “This week’s Tampa Bay Lightning poll: who wins round 2?”

First of all, my good man and/or woman, as a marketing genius and someone accredited in the art of polls, I take umbrage to this and must say “harumph!” in response. So, harumph! As stated above, these polls are being conducted “for the sake of accomplishing not much, probably”. As such, they are wildly successful; I can assure you that absolutely nothing whatsoever has been accomplished.

Secondly, we’re measuring subjective opinions. Of course a similar poll on another site is going to yield conflicting results. It’s all very technical and I can’t get into all of it for the sake of a layperson, but suffice to say that a computer is used, so you know it’s inherently scientific. It’s not the polls themselves that are “bs”, it’s the subjective opinions. Now, dear sir and/or madam, I would politely request that you please desist with the disparagement and apply that sobriquet to things that actually are “bs”, such as Goalie Interference and Jack Edwards.

Now... The Lightning will face the Washington Capitals in the Eastern Conference Finals! Who’s gonna win? Vote and comment please!
