The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced the invitees and schedule for their 2018 Development Camp. It will include on-ice sessions that will be open to the public and free of charge at the newly renovated Ice Sports Forum in Brandon, Florida, off-ice sessions where the prospects will learn a variety of things from mental and physical fitness to media relations.

Yesterday (Tuesday June 26th) was the first day of the camp, and it included medical and physical testing in order for the training staff to get a baseline for where all their players are positioned in those areas.

Wednesday June 27th through until Saturday June 30th will be in Brandon, where the players will be on the ice in the morning and early afternoon. Specific timings for the on-ice sessions can be found with the link here.

The players will be split up into two main groups for he camp, and will have two 3-on-3 scrimmage games on Friday June 29th at 2pm, and on Saturday June 30th at 11:45am. Both of these games will be open to the public to watch and enjoy.

The team will also give back to the community in and around Tampa Bay as they plan to spend Tuesday July 3rd at the Lightning Made Summer Camp at Florida Hospital Center Ice in Wesley Chapel, as well as at the Simmons Family Riverview Boys and Girls Club.

As for the players, Tracy wrote a great breakdown of all the players who will be in attencance, including the prospects, free agent signees, and unsigned invitees. I will link to it right...NOW!

Lastly, according to the official Lightning Twitter account, Cal Foote will not be able to attend the weekend’s action due to a family emergency. Best of luck to Cal and his family, and we’ll see him at training camp in September!
