Not so long after Steven Stamkos celebrated his 400th goal in the league, today we will check which Tampa Bay Lightning players are on the edge of another milestones in the near future.

Let’s start with the captain. Steven Stamkos currently has 796 points in 776 career games in the NHL, and is probably about one week away from scoring his 800th. At this moment, he’s 17th among active players in points and has a chance to move into 16th as Martin Gaborik, who is still listed as an active player by, hasn’t played since 2017-18 and is on long-term injured reserve, has just 19 points more than Stamkos. If Stamkos stays healthy, he will also play his 800th game in the NHL and a Lightning jersey. Stamkos can also pass Vincent Lecavalier in game-winning goals and become 2nd in Lightning history. Stamkos currently has 58 game-winning goals and is two goals behind Lecavalier.

Nikita Kucherov is even closer to his milestones. At the time this article is written, he has 199 goals, 299 assists and 498 points combined. If he scores at least 1+1 tonight, he will reach all of this marks. Interesting fact: his 100th goal was scored against Washington CapitalsBraden Holtby and these two players will face each other again tonight.

As with Steven Stamkos, if Kucherov stays healthy he will play his 500th game before the end of the season.

The one player who can play his 500th NHL game earlier than Kucherov is Tyler Johnson. Johnson will tonight his 499th game in the NHL tonight, and if nothing extraordinary happens, he will play his 500th on Monday night against the Florida Panthers.

Alex Killorn is also getting closer to his 300th point. He now has 288 points and given his current scoring pace, he can reach it by the end of the next month.

Kevin Shattenkirk and Ryan McDonagh played most of their careers in other teams but can also celebrate an important career mark during this season. McDonagh is four points away from his 300th and Shattenkirk is eight assists shy of his 300th.
