Quick Strikes: Alex Killorn bags his first career hat-trick

Big wins for all three teams in the organization

The Bolts

The Tampa Bay Lightning have won their fourth consecutive game against the Washington Capitals in an Eastern Conference Final rematch and established a franchise record for most wins in a single season. Ten games still remain to extend that record.

They’ve also became just the 12th team in NHL history with 55+ wins in a season. But despite scoring six goals, it wasn’t an easy win for the Bolts

Don’t take too much into this win (even though it secured the most wins the franchise has ever had). The biggest thing the Lightning need to do moving forward is to try and remain healthy (yes, I know Girardi and Stralman are still out currently) and clean up some of the defensive zone play. Soak the moment and then move on. [Raw Charge]

Alex Killorn registered his first career hat trick, embarassed Nick Jensen when scoring his second goal, and overshadowed another hockey player named Alex who played in the same game.

The Bruins also won their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, so clinching the division and the conference has been postponed for couple of days. The Bolts need two points on Monday to do that.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend and every team presented their green warmup jerseys. Check out the Bolts ones

Bob Buckhorn, the mayor of Tampa, got his jersey too.

These jerseys are available for auction till March 30th

Tampa hosted Fabio Sorini, a fan from Turin, Italy, who is a part of the Distant Thunder program, which was created for Bolts fans from all over the world.

The Prospects

The Syracuse Crunch have won their 40th game this season defeating the Binghamton Devils. The Crunch are currently first in the North Division.

Gabriel Dumont had some kind words about Eddie Pasquale on the Shootout Show.

The Orlando Solar Bears won their game too. They outscored the Idaho Steelheads 6-2.

That was also the First Responders Appreciation Night and the Solar Bears presented their special jerseys tonight.

The Game

Conor McGregor took a part in a faceoff before the Bruins vs. the Jackets game

And I’m sure he will appreciate this celly from Brad Marchand

The Carolina Hurricanes are in a playoff spot and enjoying it.

The Belleville Senators presented their new mascot and it looks like most things in the Ottawa Senators organization. Terrible.

Speaking of mascots, Gritty has become famous even outside of the NHL
