On Tuesday, the American Hockey League gave everyone a 2019-2020 schedule teaser, releasing the dates all 31 AHL teams will open on their respective home ice.

One day later, after some, er, app issues, the league released the full schedule.

The Syracuse Crunch will open the 2019-2020 season on the road in Rochester on Friday, October 4th, against the Americans. This marks the beginning of a four game road trip, as the team then heads to Cleveland for a pair of games against the Monsters on Friday, October 11th (Cleveland’s home opener), and Saturday, October 12th. The team will then visit Utica for the Comets’ home opener on Wednesday, October 16th.

Syracuse finally comes home on Saturday, October 19th, as they host the defending Calder Cup champion Charlotte Checkers. This is the second straight season Syracuse has opened at home against Charlotte.

Breaking down the full schedule:

-Syracuse will face a total of 15 opponents, all within the Eastern Conference: Rochester (12), Utica (12), Binghamton (10), Belleville (6), Laval (6), Toronto (6), Charlotte (4), Cleveland (4), Bridgeport (4), Hershey (2), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (2), Hartford (2), Providence (2), Lehigh Valley (2), and Springfield (2).

-The schedule is very weekend-heavy, as Syracuse will play 26 Friday games, 27 Saturday games, and just six Sunday games. Thursday is the only day they will not play; the Crunch will have 12 Wednesday games, three Monday games (all holiday matinees), and two Tuesday night matchups.

-On 5 occasions, the Crunch will have the dreaded three-in-three weekend: November 1st-3rd (home against Bridgeport and Binghamton, then travel to Hershey); January 10th-12th (home against Laval and Rochester, then travel to Binghamton); February 21st-23rd (home against Cleveland and Lehigh Valley, travel to Springfield); March 20th-22nd (home against Binghamton, home and home against Utica); and March 27th-29th (home against Hershey, then travel to Belleville and Toronto).
