The Syracuse Crunch have signed defenseman Devante Stephens to a one-year AHL contract. Stephens came to the Crunch in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres, who got Matt Spencer back instead. The 23-year-old played 38 games for the Crunch last season and finished with six assists and 22 shots on the third pair. Stephens was on an NHL deal last season, but wasn’t qualified ahead of free agency and became a UFA. He was then signed by the Crunch on an AHL yesterday.

Former Syracuse Crunch forward Erik Condra has joined Chicago as a player development coach. Condra was a great mentor for the young Crunch in his two years on the team, so the Hawks got a good one here. Condra has spent the last two seasons on the Texas Stars and Colorado Eagles.

Dom L. was looking at Mikhail Sergachev through his model and is certain that he needs to be on the Boston Bruins due to his stylistic similarities to the team. Unfortunately for the Bruins, he’ll never go there, they can’t afford it anyway because...

The Bruins have signed Jake DeBrusk to a two-year bridge deal.

In more Bolts news, Blake Coleman is getting his banner raised to the rafters of his alma mater.

I wrote about this in his Top 25 Under 25 profile (spoiler!), but this was a really heart-warming article on Lightning prospect Sammy Walker.

And in less-great news, at least four Vegas Golden Knights players have recently tested positive for COVID-19.
