Lightning recall goalie Anders Lindback from Syracuse

Lightning goalie Anders Lindback was recalled from the Syracuse Crunch on Monday after a conditioning stint in which he played two games.

Lindback did well in his two games played with the Crunch, backstopping the team to a 30-save shutout in his first game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday.

Coach Rob Zettler again looked to Lindback the following game against Adirondack Phantoms. They suffered a 3-0 loss that game.

Lindback returns to the team giving up three goals on 49 shots, giving him a .939 save percentage and 1.54 goals against average.

If you recall, Anders Lindback suffered a lower-body injury on January 30 against the Ottawa Senators, but continued to play the game. Lindback was playing in relief of Ben Bishop, who also suffered an injury that game.

Lindback has had his share of struggles this season, posting only a 5-11-1 record with a 3.23 goals against average and an .880 save percentage.

Kristers Gudlevskis was sent back down to the Syracuse Crunch as part of the transaction. The minor-league goaltender played for Latvia in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics during which he had an incredible game against Canada, stopping 55 shots in a 2-1 loss to the eventual gold medal winners.
