Congratulations to Tampa Bay Lightning team captain Martin St. Louis on being named to Team Canada. He will compete on the men's ice hockey team at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The announcement came down just after 11 AM EST, around the same time Steven Stamkos was expected to speak to the press regarding his status and concession of his Olympic roster spot.

This will be Marty's second Olympic games; he played for Team Canada in Torino, Italy in 2006.

There had been much drama regarding St. Louis and his snub from the 2010 Olympics, and not being named to the 2014 Olympic roster seemed to light the fire of the 38-year old, who is just under a point-per-game pace at this moment (25 goals, 29 assists, 54 points in 56 games played this season)..

I speak for the entirety of the staff at Raw Charge when I say:

Congratulations Marty!
