Concrete covers the War Memorial expansion


The Onondaga County War Memorial's goal to turn their smaller-than-regulation-size rink into a 200-foot NHL-sized arena by opening night is coming closer and closer to reality. Concrete was poured and smoothed this morning, reports Crunch COO Jim Sarosy.

Cody Kunyk signs with DEL team


Cody Kunyk has signed a one year contract with Wolfsburg of the DEL in Germany. His first full professional year in North America was a disappointment and after signing a two year ELC (the first year was burned at the end of 2013-2014 immediately after signing) he was not re-signed or tendered a contract as a restricted free agent by the Lightning. As an older prospect, he really needed to shine in the AHL to earn a second contract and he didn't do that with only 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points in 69 regular season games with the Syracuse Crunch.
