Cody Kunyk has signed a one year contract with Wolfsburg of the DEL in Germany. His first full professional year in North America was a disappointment and after signing a two year ELC (the first year was burned at the end of 2013-2014 immediately after signing) he was not re-signed or tendered a contract as a restricted free agent by the Lightning. As an older prospect, he really needed to shine in the AHL to earn a second contract and he didn't do that with only 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points in 69 regular season games with the Syracuse Crunch.
