Lightning announce trio of stars for latest "Unplugged" session
LIGHTNING TO HOST FOURTH ‘UNPLUGGED’ EVENT
Popular Series Continues Feb. 25 at the Tilted Kilt in Carrollwood
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning and its players will host their fourth "Lightning Unplugged" event of the season on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Tilted Kilt in Carrollwood located at 14457 North Dale Mabry Highway. "Unplugged" is a series of fan friendly events in the Tampa Bay community hosted by former Lightning player and 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Chris Dingman. It offers fans a chance to meet Lightning players and ask them questions in an open, casual, barrier-free environment. Previous Unplugged events were held at Pete & Shorty’s in Pinellas Park, Cantina Laredo at the Shops at Wiregrass and Barnacles in Brandon.
"Unplugged" is a staple of the Lightning’s "Together We Will" marketing campaign, bringing at least two Lightning players into different neighborhoods of Tampa Bay each month to family friendly restaurants and pubs.
The fourth event will feature NHL superstar and team captain Vincent Lecavalier along with fan favorites Steve Downie and Kurtis Foster joining Dingman at the Tilted Kilt. Also at the restaurant will be the Lightning Fan Interactive Truck, ThunderBug and the Lightning Girls. There will also be a merchandise area and a ticket booth where fans can purchase tickets to upcoming Lightning games. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to enter to win great prizes.
