Lightning Injury updates… or not

There has been little to nothing reported today that is fresh concerning the status’ of Lightning players. Besides a tweet from the Lightning announcing that Kurtis Foster had practiced today in Buffalo (after leaving the game early yesterday), there had been no other updates from either the team or the Bay area beat writers traveling with the team.

Promotions from the Norfolk Admirals are out of the question right now as the Ads are closing their regular season this weekend with hope to make the AHL playoffs yet.  They sit one point behind Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton for the final playoff spot in the conference.  The same Wilkes-Barre/Scranton team they are facing tonight at the Scope.

David Hale, Steve Downie, Ryan Malone, Mattias Ohlund and Foster are all wounded in one way or another. Others (Zenon Konopka) are playing with pain. It’s unclear who will be toughit out for tomorrow’s contest with the Sabres in Buffalo.

[Note by John Fontana, 03/26/10 5:33 PM EDT ]Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune did tweet some injury statusesaround 4:30 this afternoon:  Ohlund is probable for tomorrow while David Hale is out.  Kurtis Foster left practice early and Steve Downie is still limping with no tests scheduled on his knee.

[Note by John Fontana, 03/26/10 9:55 PM EDT ] Corrected a factual inaccurcy (well, struck it out.  My bad, thinking that the Ads season was over this weekend (It’s not).
