Lightning Round: Seattle Kraken force Game 7 against Dallas Stars

On Saturday night, the Seattle Kraken defeated the Dallas Stars 6-3 in an elimination game at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, forcing Game 7, which is scheduled for Monday in Dallas. Therefore the Kraken is just one win away from their first Conference Final in their second year of existence.

Former Tampa Bay Lightning player Yanni Gourde opened the scoring 8:59  into the game. After this game Gourde is leading all Seattle players with 12 points in 13 games. The Stars managed to tie the game with a Mason Marchment goal just 30 seconds after Gourde’s goal, but Jordan Eberle gave their lead back at the end of the first period. The Kraken started the second period with two back-to-back goals by Eeli Tolvanen and Tye Kartye and since that moment Seattle held onto their lead. An empty-netter by Eberle in the final minute of the third period made it 6-3 and the Kraken officially forced a Game 7 against Dallas.
