Lightning Round: Upcoming site maintanance

Computer code on screen

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to give y’all a heads up that tomorrow or Friday we are going to do a little maintenance on the site to improve the features. That means it might be down for a couple of hours while we work out the bugs. Stay tuned to our social media sites for updates or just check back at a later time. It shouldn’t take too long and hopefully the changes will make for a better user experience.

Tanner Jeannot talks about the upcoming season [NHL Network]

“Everyone is going to be coming out guns a-blazing” Jeannot is ready to help the team out next season.

Alex Killorn Goal of the Year [Raw Charge]

The best part of the goal was that Killorn ended up on the ice after it. Surprising skill and then he fell to the ice. Pretty much summed him up in a nutshell.

‘Welcome to the NHL’ behind the scenes at the NHL Draft premiers on Friday [NHL]

The best NHL player to play exactly one game for a team [The Athletic]

Sean McIndoe breaks down one player that played just one game for each Eastern Conference team. For the Lightning it was Jim Campbell who played one game in 2006. A 1-0 win over the the Rangers with the lone goal coming in overtime from Vinny Prospal. Campbell played 8:47 and was whistled for holding at the end of the second period. Reminds me of the One and Done series we did a few years ago.

Top 50 drafted prospects [The Athletic]

No one in the top 50 for the Lightning according to Scott Wheeler, but Ethan Gauthier and Isaac Howard both hit the honorable mention list. Guess they’re going on our Top 25 Under 25 for the Lightning later this summer.
