The second team was comprised of:
Vincent Lecavalier, Brayden Point, Brad Richards, Pavel Kubina, Ryan McDonagh, and Ben Bishop.
Earlier this month we predicted which players might make the list, and to our credit, we were pretty close. We nailed the first team, but had a couple of discrepancies on the second team. While we agreed on Vinny Lecavalier, Brayden Point, Pavel Kubina, and Ben Bishop, we had Ondrej Palat and Mikhail Sergachev instad of Brad Richards and Ryan McDonagh. We do wonder if McDonagh is still in Nashville and Sergachev is with the Bolts if the official team would have looked a little different.
Let’s give a shout-out to commenter GMW91 who mentioned both Richards and McDonagh in his reply to the post.
As a team, the Lightning currently rank eleventh with 2,151 points, 183 points behind the league-leading Boston Bruins. The Bruins stay on top with 1,032 wins, but he Lightning inch up the charts to the ninth spot with 967.
