Norfolk Admirals, NHL playoffs open thread: Got a hockey hangover yet?

It's the third Saturday in April, and that means playoff hockey. Lots of playoff hockey. A veritable cornucopia of playoff hockey. So much, in fact, that it's time to get down to it all:

• The Norfolk Admirals host the Manchester Monarchs for Game 2, and the last of their home games this series. The Ads dominated most of Game 1 last night but then allowed the Monarchs to score twice in the third period, ending Jaroslav Janus's bid for a shutout. It was their 29th win in a row. Or their first playoff win this season. Take your pick. Tonight's game starts at 7:15pm ET. Radio is available at 1021thegame.com and online video through AHL Live.
• The Capitals return to Boston to face the Bruins in Game 5 this afternoon at 3:00pm ET on NBC. This is turning into a goalie duel, and young Braden Holtby has been an eye-opener in net for the Caps. The series is tied 2-2. [UPDATE: The Caps took control of the series in a back and forth 4-3 win. They return to Washington for Game 6 tomorrow afternoon at 3:00pm.]
• The New Jersey Devils face the Florida Panthers in Sunrise at 6:30pm ET on NHLN, This one is also tied 2-2, I suspect that, unlike the officials at Prudential Center, the Panthers will welcome a few plastic rats on the ice.
• The Ottawa Senators are in New York to face the Rangers at 7:00pm ET on NBCSN. Again, series tied at 2-2 (What's with that?) Daniel Alfredsson was not on the ice for morning skate today, which I'd take as a sign he's still out.
• The Sharks are back in St. Louis to face the Blues in a series that is not 2-2. It's 3-1, and the Blues could be the second team to close out their first round tonight. Game starts at 7:30pm ET on CNBC. I'll be honest about not paying one bit of attention to this series, but, well, I've been busy.
• And, finally, the Chicago Blackhawks are in Phoenix to face the Coyotes in a series notable for both controversial hits and the complete inability to finish a game before reasonable people go to bed. And by "reasonable," I mean "not on the West Coast." News concerning supplemental discipline for Raffi Torres over hit hit on Marian Hossa is expected at any time. Oh yeah, Phoenix leads the series 3-1, and if the Blackhawks are eliminated tonight, that'll be two teams out of the toughest division in the West with an early exit.
