Norfolk Admirals, NHL Playoffs Open Thread
Tonight the Admirals face the defending Calder Cup champion Binghamton Senatorrs starting at 7:05pm EDT. Radio is available at 1021thegame.com and online video through AHL Live. The Ads are coming off a 5-1 win over the Albany Devills last night, and they're playing for their 27th straight win. In the words of @tjohnny09 (Tyler Johnson), "26's a fluke, but 27's a streak." Dustin Tokarski will be in goal.
But even if you're not able to catch the Ads game, there's plenty of NHL action to keep track of. The Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins are just now entering the second overtime period in Boston. The story of that series has been the goaltending as the rookie Braden Holtby has matched Boston's Tim Thomas, despite having come into the playoffs with only five games of NHL experience.
Tonight's matchups are:
- Ottawa Senators(8) at New York Rangers (1) - 7:00pm ET on NBCSN (not-Versus). The Rangers lead this series 1-0. NHL.com game preview
- San Jose Sharks (7) at St. Louis Blues (2) - 7:30pm ET on CNBC. The Sharks lead this series 1-0. NHL.com game preview
- Chicago Blackhawks (6) at Phoenix Coyotes (3) - 10:00pm ET on NBCSN. The Coyotes are one game up on the Blackhawks in this series. NHL.com game preview
The NHL has a channel finder for all the games, although it doesn't appear to include HD channels.
