Norfolk Admirals, Washington - Boston Open thread: Come one, come all
- It's game night again for the Norfolk Admirals. Their series against the Manchester Monarchs has moved to New Hampshire for the remaining three games. Last Saturday, the team experienced their first loss in more than two months. Now they have to take two out of three on enemy ice to advance to the next round. If we're looking for good news, Dustin Tokarski, Radko Gudas, and Tyler Johnson all practiced this morning.

- Only one NHL game tonight. The Washington Capitals - Boston Bruins series is turning out to be more evenly matched than a lot of folks expected, due in large part to the play of rookie goaltender Braden Holtby. Holtby was called up due to injuries to the Caps starters and has gone toe to toe with a living legend (Boston goalie Tim Thomas). He's given up only 14 goals in 6 games and has a .935 save percentage. I honestly can't say enough good things about this kid's performance so far, and I find that deeply irritating. Game starts at 7:30pm ET on NBCSN.
One other thing I want to bring to your attention. EA Sports is asking fans to choose who'll be on the cover of NHL13. They've narrowed it to 16 and the first half of the matchups are open for voting between now and May 3. Steven Stamkos is up against Evgeni Malkin, who must not be allowed to prevail. Voting does require registration, but you can vote until your mouse clicker gives out.
