Cedric Paquette gets listed as day-to-day after incident in Dallas

After a scary moment for the Tampa Bay Lightning last night in their game against the Dallas Stars, it sounds that forward Cedric Paquette won’t be out long. It was announced this morning that x-rays of his leg came back clear and he is officially listed as day-to-day by the club.

While there’s no video due to the game not being televised, Twitter informs us that the injury happened shortly after the Stars last goal in the middle of the third period. Paquette immediately left the game after taking a slap shot to the leg. He was helped off the ice and down the tunnel. After the game, he was seen walking without a cast or crutches, but did have a limp.

So far held pointless this pre-season, Paquette finished the 2014-2015 regular season with 19 points (12 goals, 7 assists), and added 3 goals to his stats during the Stanley Cup playoffs.
