A quick injury report sees Jake Dotchin participate in a full Bolts practice. However, he is still listed on the injured reserve. [Bolts by the Bay]
Connie Henderson Lindsay has spent the better part of a decade helping disabled and homeless veterans get out of poverty. As a thank you for her service, the Tampa Bay Lightning have honored her as the 15th Lightning Community Hero this season. [NHL dot com]
The NHL Centennial Exhibit has arrived in Tampa! [Raw Charge]
“The highlight of the exhibit is the 53-foot mobile museum truck which is basically a mini hall of fame is filled with a nice combination of digital, interactive displays and old school equipment that traces the 100-year history of the NHL. Did you know it was the 100th year of the NHL? Perhaps they should have marketed it a bit more.”
Greg Wyshynski’s NHL power rankings unsurprisingly has the Tampa Bay Lightning at the top once again. It’s a shame that Stamkos hasn’t gotten a chance to go to the Olympics - any Olympics - in his career. Maybe 2022? [ESPN]
Shout out to Rob Kennedy for keeping the boys’ equipment in tip top shape day in and day out!
Stick taps to our assistant equipment manager Rob Kennedy, working his 1,500th professional game tonight.

The United States Womens National Hockey Team has been doing great work in the community! Don’t think I haven’t caught on to the fact that these athletes are already scouting their future teammates.
Shoutout to our friends at @ddtampabay and the #USWNT for coming out tonight and helping us continue to usher in the next generation of players. 🏒🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/e8Nfu4LDYU

I would have killed to have Hayley Wickenheiser or Cassie Campbell teach me puck handling skills! It’s really great of the USWNT to come out and do this, especially so close to the Olympics.
Members of the #USWNT on hand tonight pregame teaching some stick and shooting skills in our @nhl Centennial area. 🏒 pic.twitter.com/cpxRv5yAqP

25-year-old Ty Loney takes his career one chance at a time. His most recent chance is with an injury depleted Syracuse Crunch team. Not only has Loney been getting a regular shift with the Crunch, but he’s played a not-so-small role in the teams’ most recent run of success. [Syracuse]
"Everyone wants more time, wants more and more. But you have to be patient and learn that it's going to take some time,'' he said. "You're never going to get what you want right away. And sometimes that's a good thing. When you are patient, and you get it, you understand that it's not easy to get places. I think you learn how hard it is to earn it. You're not given anything. So when you have to fight for what you get and earn it, whether it's playing time or whatever it is, you understand how hard it is.''
Lightning prospect Taylor Raddysh scored a beauty for his 250th point in the OHL. Video: [OHL dot com]

In administrative news, the Syracuse Crunch have sent forward Shane Conacher back down to the ECHL Adirondack Thunder, a team that has lost a lot of talent due to the needs of teams they are affiliated with. [Syracuse]
“Conacher, 23, has played in 16 games with the Thunder this season, earning 18 points (3g, 15a). He has also appeared in two games with the Crunch. Last season, he posted 11 points (2g, 9a) in 25 games with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound right wing also skated in three contests with the Toronto Marlies.”
The Game
Please bear with us as we deviate from hockey for just a second.
FANPOST: the end of Net Neutrality is good for no one except your internet service providers. December 14th is the day the end might become a reality. [Raw Charge]
“What happens if mom-and-pop stores face fees just to present their site online? What happens when this plays out for artists, small companies, bloggers (ahem, hi), gaming sites and so many more? It's going to lead to job loss and economic issues with businesses shutting down.” https://www.battleforthenet.com
Back to hockey.
The Vancouver Canucks and the LA Kings made a trade in the dead of night. The trade is 1 for 1: Subban for Dowd. Jordan Subban that is. Sorry for scaring you, in my defense, the LA twitter account played the same joke on everyone who is away at 2am on a Thursday night.
In exchange for Nic Dowd, Subban is coming to the LA Kings.https://t.co/wSkYRmUpHz

Good one, Dangle.
Lot of angry Canuck fans in my mentions and I didn’t even say who the trade was bad for 🤔🤔🤔 Welp, goodnight https://t.co/JJjMypGkm1

Matthew Tkachuk was suspended once again. This time, a one-game suspension for spearing Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matt Martin from the bench. [Pension Plan Puppets]
It appears as though Seattle will become the NHL’s newest expansion franchise. They are aiming to join the league in 2020 at a cost of $650 million. That’s $150 million more than what the Vegas Golden Knights had to pay for their expansion fee. [Sportsnet]
Get ready for a lot of tweets

SEA: looking at 2020-21. Have asked to file application to expand. League has agreed and will allow a season-ticket drive. But Bettman says this is not guarantee of a team

Highlight of the Night: I’d like to relive with you the Ottawa Senators giving up the go-ahead goal in a tie game with five minutes to go, only to tie the game themselves with only eight seconds to go, only to lose the game in overtime. But that would be mean. Instead, here’s the conclusion of the game between Carolina and San Jose. Carolina was up 4-1 at one point in this game, by the way. [Reddit]
