The Golden Knights won game one 6-4 powered by three goals from their fourth line in the third period to overcome a 4-3 deficit. [SBNation]
Former Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson told a reporter he hopes the Senators “get a new owner.” Alfredsson reportedly requested that the comment be off-the-record AFTER making the statement. [Sportsnet]
The issue with Eugene Melnyk’s ownership of the Senators is one of the worst kept secrets in the NHL and if the frankness of Alfredsson’s comment was suprising, the content was not.
People acting like Alfredsson disliking Melnyk was a state secret is weird. The dissent was well reported and obvious, if vague in detail. https://t.co/A5mRAuy0X1

I don’t qualify to answer this but I will say 11 (and many, many others) have been flirting with this leaking for quite some time. It may not have been desired but it wasn’t a bridge too far either. https://t.co/tnRJsbS07Q

As a follow up to last tweet, just about everyone locally and nationally knew this story. They just didn’t report it. Right or wrong this is nothing new. https://t.co/tnRJsbS07Q

Canucks Army is well into their annual top 100 draft profiles. Yesterday, they covered Oscar Back who is an interesting option for teams in the third or fourth round. You probably don’t care much about Back in particular but if you’re interested in learning more about this year’s prospect class, following along with Canucks Army is the best way to do that.
