Radko Gudas suspended for high-sticking Nikita Kucherov

Today, the NHL department of player safety announced that Philadelphia Flyers defender Radko Gudas has been suspended for two games after high-sticking Nikita Kucherov in last nights game.

Gudas received a two minute minor in the game for the infraction, but after review the NHL determined that he deserved a more severe punishment. Gudas has a record of playing on the edge, and of suspensions with the league.

In 2015, Gudas was suspended three games for a hit on Mika Zibanejad:

In 2016 pre-season, Gudas was again suspended for six games for a head shot, this time against the Bruins Austin Czarnik:

In 2017, he was suspended ten games for slashing Matthieu Perrault while he was lying on the ice:

Despite all of this, these two games this time will surely teach Gudas a lesson about playing more carefully.
