Rumor: Vancouver trying to deal D Jason Garrison, and Tampa Bay is in on it

TSN's Bob McKenzie suggests the Lightning and Montreal Canadiens are after the veteran defesnseman who may or may not willingly move to another club.

Earlier in the week, Steve Yzerman talked defenseman acquisition potential and how landing a young defenseman via trade was a challenge. If rumors are true this afternoon, he is indeed trying to land a young veteran defenseman... And that d-man is by way of Vancouver via Florida. From TSN's Bob McKenzie:

Garrison will be 30 in November and has a salary cap hit of $4.6 million. He's under contract through 2017-18.

I doubt this is the first name we find linked to the Tampa Bay Lightning today. I'm also wondering if Garrison would willingly come back to the state of Florida.

And there's a big reason to doubt that Garrison will be moved. That reason being Garrison himself has stopped trades from occurring:

Some people have been getting on players cases this summer for doing things like this, or limiting where they will be dealt to. yet this is exactly what the No Trade Clause and No Move Clause were created for - stability and to give players some power for themselves. I fully respect it.
