Starting goaltenders for Tampa Bay at Carolina

There’s no reason to expect anyone but Ben Bishop in net for the Tampa Bay Lightning when the second half of their season gets underway tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Canes, on the other hand, will turn to Anton Khudobin in net as he continues to take more starts from Cam Ward:

Khudobin’s career NHL numbers are … well, quite good. Two years each with the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, and now Carolina Hurricanes have his career save percentage at .926 on just over 2000 shots faced. That said, he’s won just 5 of his 14 games started this year behind a Carolina team that’s shown some improvement over the course of the season but is still largely considered to be in the running for one of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft’s top prospects — either Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel.
