Sun Sport reveals Lightning broadcast schedule
Sixty-five times, the Lightning will be televised on Sun Sports TV this season. 32 away games, 33 home games, and all the pre-and-post game trimmings that you are used to.
All games are scheduled to be in High Definition this season, which is a first for the Lightning... That being said, there is still wonderment on how more home games are being broadcast over road games. Cost of production, I am sure, is part of the reasoning...
Whatever the case, below the jump we'll have Sun Sports official press release on the schedule as well as the schedule itself. Please note that this is on top of the already announced national TV schedule that includes multiple Lightning games on Versus,NBC, and Canadian TV.

Season Opener vs. Atlanta First Up on Sun Sports' Schedule
TAMPA (September 14, 2010) - Sun Sports and the Tampa Bay Lightning have announced the lineup of games scheduled to air on Sun Sports this coming season.
And what a season it could be. Few organizations in recent professional sports have produced such a stunning managerial turnaround as the Lightning and they are now on the eve of beginning a promising new season. Hall-of-Famer Steve Yzerman's arrival as General Manager has launched a wave of optimism unmatched since the Bolts' 2004 Stanley Cup Championship. New Head Coach Guy Boucher unveils his up-tempo style with perennial all-stars Vincent Lecavalier and Marty St.Louis joining the NHL's goal-scoring sensation Steve Stamkos, who shared the tally trophy with Sidney Crosby in 2010.
The 65-game Sun Sports television schedule includes 32 away and 33 home matchups, and begins with the Lightning's regular season home opener vs. the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 7:30pm.
In addition to TV coverage, Sun Sports will also produce and make available exclusive content on the network's website - FOXSportsFlorida.com - including exclusive analysis, behind-the-scenes video, and more. There will also be social media fan engagement on the networks' Facebook & Twitter platforms.
Rick Peckham returns for his 15th season as Sun Sports' Lightning play-by-play announcer and analyst Bobby "The Chief" Taylor, in his 17th year, will join him in the booth. Sun Sports' Paul Kennedy returns for his 10thseason as rinkside reporter and pre- and postgame host. Todd Kalas will also host select pre- and postgame shows and Angela Jacobs will serve as feature reporter. For the third consecutive year, Lightning on-air contributors for pre-game, intermission, and post-game coverage on Sun Sports will be former Lightning playersDave Andreychuk and Chris Dingman, who will split those duties on all home game telecasts this season.
All games are scheduled to be produced and distributed in high-definition. Home games will be preceded by the half-hour LIGHTNING LIVE pregame show and all games will include LIGHTNING LIVE postgame coverage from site.
Sun Sports is producing and airing an hour-long TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING PRESEASON SPECIAL, hosted by Paul Kennedy. It premieres October 1 at 7:00pm.
The popular INSIDE THE LIGHTNING series returns and will feature player profiles and episodes offering behind-the-scenes access to other aspects of the team and its operations -- all designed to bring the fans closer to their favorite team.
