Syracuse Crunch and St. John's IceCaps duke it out
The Tampa Bay Lightning's AHL affiliate gets a little feisty tonight against the Winnipeg Jets minor league affiliate.
How about that? Not once, but twice in the 2012-13 AHL season, the Syracuse Crunch have seen their netminders drop the gloves during a confrontation with an opponent.
Months ago, it was Tampa Bay Lightning goalie prospect Riku Helenius who mixed it up with Binghampton Senators goaltender Robin Lehner (and was pretty much pummeled in the exchange). This time around, after seemingly everyone from both squads went ape in the Crunch's zone, Crunch goaltender Dustin Tokarski met IceCaps goalie Eddie Pasquale at mid-ice and both goaltenders had their own confrontation of fisticuffs.
...And you can see it all play out below, with thanks to the fellows at Bolt Prospects who've posted it online:
Though the game is still in progress, the Syracuse Crunch are leading St. John's 5-3 with only a few minutes to go in the game. Alex Killorn has two goals for the Crunch tonight and Kyle Wilson, J.P. Cote and J.T. Wyman have also lit the lamp for Syracuse.
