Syracuse Crunch at Binghamton Senators AHL game thread

Syracuse came back from a 3-0 deficit early in the third period to the Connecticut Whale to win the game in overtime 4-3 on a Mark Barberio goal. They scored three unanswered goals in a 6 minute, 43 second span. The goal scorers were Tyler Johnson and Richard Panik had two in less than a minute.

While that sort of thing might be an exciting game to watch, it also suggests that the Crunch may be coasting along until they decide they need to win the game. That makes for sloppy habits, and sloppy thinking. There’s no need to spot the team you’re playing two or three goals before you decide it’s time to play.

In this last of three game in three nights on the road, Dustin Tokarski will likely get the start. He played Friday, while Helenius played last night. Such has been the pattern thus far this season.
