Syracuse Crunch lose 2-1, eliminated from playoffs by Toronto

The Syracuse Crunch season finished Tuesday night as they lost 2-1 to the Toronto Marlies. The Marlies move on to the third round while the Crunch see their roller coaster year come to an end.

Dymtro Timashov opened the scoring on the power play five minutes into the first period. Te minutes later Andreas Johnsson doubled the score with another strike on the power play.

The Marlies  were on a five-minute power play when Johnsson scored due to a brutal hit by Alex Gallant on Mason Marchment that drew a game misconduct for the heavily penalized Crunch forward.

The Crunch cut the lead in half midway through the third period when Reid McNeill scored his second goal if the post season. They were unable to find the equalizer and Toronto emerged victorious.
