Syracuse Crunch at Hershey Bears AHL game thread

New, comments

Syracuse beat Hershey Friday 6-1, and is playing them again for the second time in three days.

Team: Syracuse Crunch (9-2-1-1), AHL affiliate for the Tampa Bay Lightning
Opponent: Hershey Bears (6-7-1-0), AHL affiliate for the Washington Capitals
Where: Giant Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania
When: 5 pm ET
Media: Live stream via AHL Live; Radio: The Score 1260 AM

The last time that these two teams met was Friday, when the Crunch beat the Bears 6-1 in Syracuse. Both teams played last night at their respective home arenas, and both won - Hershey beat Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 4-1, while Syracuse beat Adirondack 5-2. The grudge match happens today, where the Bears see if they can beat the team that embarrassed them only two days ago.

In the last meeting between these teams, Danick Gauthier scored his first professional goal, Pierre-Cedric Labrie scored two goals, the Crunch out-shot Hershey 40-21, and Dustin Tokarski got the win. It was a similar story for Syracuse last night, only Labrie scored one goal, the team out-shot Adirondack 35-26, and Riku Helenius got that win. It'll be interesting to see if the Crunch have anything left in the tank for this game.
