Tampa Bay Lightning 2014-15 alternate jersey to be unveiled Saturday at Fan Fest

The wait is just about over for the Bolts next alternate sweater to be unveiled.

I'm pretty sure that Lightning fans have caught on by now that the "BOLTS" third/alternate jersey is retired, and that Tampa Bay will have a new third jersey for the 2014-15 season. The schedule for the team to wear them has leaked out from what others caught on, and the team has been dropping hints about the thing over the course of the last few weeks.

While the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers have unveiled their new alternate jerseys in the past few days, it seems appropriate that the Lightning franchise will unveil their new alternate jerseys (the third alternate jersey in club history) on Saturday at Fan Fest.

The rumors and hints suggest the new sweater is black. It could be that simple - a black-and-white jersey system. It's worth speculating that an older jersey system element of "victory stripes" under the arms might on the jerseys too (or not, as a clean, classy look might be what the organization decided upon). Never the less, it gives another reason to attend festivities at the Amalie on Saturday.

By the way, you can't actually get the alternate univorms on the spot, you can see them, but you got to wait to get them:
