Pierre LeBrum gives update on Drouin interest

Stick tap / hat tip to Bolt Prospects. Interest may wane as Steve Yzerman holds steady. There's no necessity in trading Jonathan Drouin besides the desires of Jonathan Drouin.

With a poll asking where you think Drouin will end up traded to.

Speculating on a potential Bolts/Blues blockbuster

The trade rumblings continue, but nothing has happened yet. So why not add some more to the speculation?

State of the Lightning Address

With President Obama set to give his State of the Union address tonight, and the Lightning just past the half-way mark of the season, what better time than to have our own State of the Lightning Address?

A Jonathan Drouin deal is "close"

The Western Conference being a possible/likely landing spot for the services of Jonathan Drouin is not surprising... But I do have to say I'm a little surprised the Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche are in on this. Chatter, for a while, has suggested St. Louis is a partner in talks -- and has been for a while... The Lightning have also sent scouts to Anaheim in recent games David Pagnotta's Twitter account has a little more on things,

Eyes at War Memorial in Syracuse< NY

Of course there are two teams at play tonight in the Onondaga War Memorial Arena in Syracuse, but with how things have progressed in the last six days, you can get an inkling that this corps might be examining Jonathan Drouin more than who is on the Hershey Bears (Washington Capitals AHL affiliate).

Drouin's discontent is made clear by agent Allan Walsh. Now what?

One of hockey's biggest media personalities concludes Stamkos is history; one of hockey's longest-tenured bloggers wants proof beyond idled speculation.

Trading Steven Stamkos more difficult than you mig

Engineering a trade for Steven Stamkos is more difficult than it might sound on the surface. There are salary cap circumstances to consider as well as the actual price tag.

The Cap'n, the Cap and the Cash

Other transactions are likely with direct and indirect ties to a new Steven Stamkos contract.

Hold the phone on "Bishop back-to-back"

There's been no official announcement of a recall of the Yak Man, Kristers Gudlevskis, from the Syracuse Crunch... It is an odd coincidence that the #3-on-the-deoth-chart netminder is not seen at tonight's pregame skate in Syracuse, New York. We'll keep you posted.

Calgary needs help, Stamkos isn't it

A top-down solution does not aid Calgary and there's no need at the moment to deal Tampa Bay's team leader..

Steven Stamkos and angles explored by Bolts

Though the silence drives you crazy, so does the chatter that comes from reliable sources.

The subject of much speculation, Tampa Bay Lightning D Matt Carle is most likely staying put, at least for the foreseeable future.

Is the signing of collegiate prospect Adam Wilcox in the immediate future?

This tweet by Lindsay Kramer of follows rumblings that have been around today since the signing of Matthew Peca by the Lightning (with his ATO also signed so he can join the Crunch). If Adam Wilcox ends up unsigned this week, there is a much more prominent chance the goalie will become a unrestricted free agent over the summer. Wilcox has played three seasons with the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. This past season he posted a 2.42 GAA and a .912 save percentage in 38 game, his record was 22-12-3. Like Peca, Wilcox was taken during the 2011 NHL draft; in Wilcox's case he was selected in the 6th round (178th overall).

Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks make a deal

Will this have any ramifications on head-to-head play between the Lightning and the Canadiens? Unlikely.

No to Sestito in Syracuse

Sestito was released from the Vancouver Canucks organization, and while he is a former member of the Crunch... Well, I'll trust our expert in northern Tampacuse and what she thinks of the matter.

A needed mental shift for trade targets

Trade season brings two mentalities, and neither is necessarily right in finding blue-line help for the Lightning's playoff run.

Sean Bergenheim on his way out in Florida

To continue to talk about trade inuendo out of the Florida Panthers organization, Sean Bergenheim, former Lightning forward who signed with the Panthers after 2010-11. For those Lightning fans waxing nostalgic, the Bolts aren't currently in need of a forward. Don't expect Steve Yzerman to chase after Bergy.

Florida Panthers interested in Phil Kessel?

The Panthers are on the bubble for the last wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. They're in a position to make a move but Phil Kessel from the Toronto Maple Leafs? Kessel drives the bus on any potential trade. His no trade clause is really limited. I think he'd have to want to go and that's not clear. — James Mirtle (@mirtle) February 16, 2015
