The Tampa Bay Lightning starting lineup tonight is not supposed to change from what has been used the past two games, though Alex Killorn was said to have practiced on the 3rd line with Vladislav Namesetnikov and Jonathan Drouin, alternating with Cedric Paquette on the line. He remains day-to-day and should be looked at as questionable to start.
This also means Mark Barberio remains a healthy scratch. Head coach Jon Cooper’s perchance to play three pairs of lefty-righty defensemen is what keeps Barberio out… That and continued success with a 12-forward, 6-defenseman lineup.
It’ll be Ben Bishop versus Corey Crawford as the goalies of record tonight at United Center.,Bishop’s stats are shrinking as his record keeps improving; he’s 9-1-1 in 12 appearances this season and his GAA stands at 2.44 while his save percentage hovers around .910 at the moment.
We mentioned Crawford’s stats in our preview today – 1.75 GAA, a .932 save percentage. His record stands at 5-3-1 with 1 shutout so far this season.
