For the first time since 2007, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be a participant in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The four year drought… was filled with all sorts of drama – from the sale of the team, to the horrendous 2007-08 season. 2008-09 was laughable and 2009-10 had the wheels fall off at crunch time.
At any rate, the key issue right now is where the Lightning will be seeded when the 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs begin. The team schedule for play in the playoffs is also not yet determined, but the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin on April 13th.
