The Tampa Bay Lightning have been busy this offseason in not only signing players, but also in their players signing up for Twitter. Some guys are write more than others, of course, but it’s a great way to get to know them as people. And, really, they’re pretty down to earth guys.
During prospect camp, however, one of the prospects was on a mission. He was out proselytizing among the Twitter-less masses and trying to convert them. Brett Connolly managed to get two guys to join: Alex Killorn, who was apparently his roommate, and Carter Ashton.
Killorn has taken to Twitter like a duck to water, and is easily one of the more entertaining fellows on this list. He was also trying to convert others, but with little success. He apparently was trying to get Radko Gudas to join, since he’s apparently quite a funny guy, but Gudas wasn’t up for it.
Yes, this is the kind of stuff you miss out on when you’re not following these guys on Twitter.
So here’s an official-ish list of the players that are on Twitter. If you’re following someone that you think is a player that’s not on the list, then they may not really be a player. I know for sure that there’s a Dwayne Roloson account that’s completely fake, as according the the team. The Victor Hedman one has yet to be verified either way by the team, though it does seem legitimate.
Of course, if you want a shortcut, you can follow the Lightning’s player list on Twitter. Or, you can bookmark the Lightning’s Twitter page on their website, which includes more than just players. The team’s official Twitter is @TBLightning, and the official hashmark is #TBLightning.
