Tampa Bay Lightning prospect playoff update: The QMJHL Conference Finals begin

Only two Tampa Bay Lightning prospects remain in the playoffs and they both play on the same team. The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Rimouski Oceanic have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals – the first ECF in a decade, as the QMJHL seeded their playoffs 1-16 from 2009 to this year.

The Oceanic run into the number one team in the entire Canadian Hockey League this year, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. They finished with ten more wins than Rimouski and had a goal differential of almost +200 compared to Rimouski’s +100.

The Huskies have had a bit harder time getting through the first two rounds, with an 8-2 record compared to an 8-1 record for our boys.

This is going to be a very close playoff series, and if you can spare a couple bucks I’d check out a stream or two.
