Tampa Bay Lightning prospect report: High scoring week for almost everyone

It was quite the week for the little Lightning. Two hat tricks, three players putting up five point weeks and a few more who had four points. There’s a lot to watch, and to help you with all these highlights I added players numbers next to their names so you know who to watch for. Stick tap to Boomkk47 for the suggestion.

Ontario Hockey League

#12 – Christopher Paquette (F) – 3G, 0A, -2
Peterborough Petes – 8-4-0-1

Oct. 19th: @ Windsor Spitfires
W 5-1 – 3G, 0A, +3

Oct. 21st: @ Flint Firebirds
L 7-3 – 0G, 0A, -3
Oct. 22nd: @ Saginaw Spirit
L 3-2 – 0G, 0A, -2

Paquette had a big night against the reigning Memorial Cup champs, netting a hat trick. Unfortunately  it didn’t keep going and Chris was off the scoreboard the rest of the week.

Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds – 9-2-2-0

The Greyhounds are hot and scoring all the goals. Katchouk had a big four point week.

#17 – Taylor Raddysh (F) – 1G, 4A, +2
Erie Otters – 5-6-1-0

Oct. 21st: vs Owen Sound Attack
W 6-4 – 0G, 3A, +1

Oct. 22nd: vs Owen Sound Attack
W 4-3 – 1G, 1A, +1

Raddysh was playing like his old self last week, leading the Otters with five points.

#17 – Alexei Lipanov (F) – 3G, 0A, +1
Barrie Colts – 8-3-0-1

Oct. 21st: vs Sarnia Sting
L 7-2 – 1G, 0A
Oct. 22nd: @ Oshawa Generals
W 4-0 – 2G, 0A, +1

Lipanov has lost his fellow Russian in Barrie as Andrei Svechnikov is injured and will be out for weeks with a broken hand.


Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

#89 – Otto Somppi (F) – 3G, 2A, +5

Otto Somppi continued his hot streak into this week, but it only lasted two games before he maxed out at five points.

The Warriors tacked on two losses, but once the Bolts prospects started scoring the wins started coming.

Kelowna is Rocketing to the bottom of the WHL standings, thankfully the B.C. Division is terrible so they’re really ok after these losses.


USHL

Not a good week for the Saints as they lie low with only one game.

Oct. 21st: vs Fargo Force
L 5-2 – 0G, 0A, -1

Even worse for the Lancers who went 0-3 and were outscored 13-4.


Upper Midwest High School Elite League

Walker and Southwest won the regular season championship this past weekend, and will be the #1 seed heading into the playoffs.

One of the few point-less players we saw this week, Zuhlsdorf needs to step things up this weekend.


It’s really awesome to see so many players who sit at over a PPG. Hopefully this list gets bigger as the season goes on, not smaller.
