Fox Sports Florida set to broadcast five of seven Tampa Bay Lightning games in April

The Tampa Bay Lightning have ten games left in the 2013-14 regular season, three of those games are this month (versus the Islanders on Thursday, back-to-back games at Buffalo and Detroit this weekend) and the final seven are in April.

That leads to an important TV programming note:  Six of those seven games will be airing on television stations other than Sun Sports.

Starting with the April 1st game against the Montreal Canadiens, the majority of April’s games will air on Fox Sports Florida, which is the usual home for the Florida Panthers broadcasts. The other games airing on Fox Sports Florida will be April 3rd versus the Calgary Flames, April 8th versus the Toronto Maple Leafs, April 11th versus the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the season finale on April 13th against the Washington Capitals. April 5th‘s game against the Dallas Stars will air on local network TV station WTOG CW44, which leaves a sole telecast, April 10th against the Philadelphia Flyers, to air on Sun Sports.

Though the games will be on other stations, you shouldn’t expect any other changes.  Lightning Live will air prior to games, Rick Peckham and Bobby Taylor will call the shots during game play, Paul Kennedy and Chris Dingman will handle things during intermission.
