This week’s Tampa Bay Lightning poll: who’s coming along to round 2?

The Lightning are in the best possible position they could be in, as it relates to their series with the New Jersey Devils, leading 3-1 heading in to Saturday’s Game 5 at Amalie Arena. The San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights have already punched their tickets. So with some time to kill before Saturday, let’s take hunches on who (else) might be moving along.

DISCLAIMER: In the interest of not counting unhatched chickens, because doing so often annoys powerful forces in the universe, a certain local team is not being mentioned in this poll. Consider votes you may have cast for that team assumed and counted.

Obvious choices are the teams with commanding leads, with Boston, Nashville, Pittsburgh and Winnipeg all up 3-1. But maybe you know something nobody else does. Maybe you just have a hunch. Whatever it is, here’s your chance to let the world know, albeit anonymously as your vote will be one piece of faceless data used to form an aggregate for the sake of representing popularly held opinions in a graphic context. It’s a poll! And an especially pointless one at that, since everybody is going to pick Boston, but what are you gonna do?

Also, the poll function has some limitations; mainly, that you can only vote for one option at a time. That means you’ll have to pick the one team that you see as a slam dunk sure thing. Sorry about that. It’s not my fault.

Who (else) is definitely moving on to Round 2 of the 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs?

Boston Bruins 57
Colorado Avalanche 2
Columbus Blue Jackets 3
Minnesota Wild 29
Nashville Predators 42
Philadelphia Flyers 4
Pittsburgh Penguins 38
Toronto Maple Leafs 6
Washington Capitals 4
Winnipeg Jets 36
