Tyler Johnson and Victor Hedman out with lower-body injuries

Tonight’s game was one of those better left forgotten, but sadly, Bolts fans won’t be able to. The game left an impression on the team along the lines of lower-body injuries to two of our mainstays. The release on the official Tampa Bay Lightning site states:

Tampa Bay was dealt a big blow on the road in Philadelphia when recently-named All-Star forward Tyler Johnson and top pair defenseman Victor Hedman left the game against the Flyers with injuries. Hedman left late in the first period and didn’t return. Johnson played into the second before exiting. Both players sustained lower-body injuries and didn’t return to the game. Their status going forward is unknown. [Tampa Bay Lightning]

What happens next? Will Vladislav Namestnikov or J.P. Cote be called up from Syracuse? No official word yet.
