Watch: Nikita Kucherov’s natural hat trick in second period
He now has 26 goals on the season.
The Tampa Bay Lightning broke out for a huge second period in Monday’s game against the Ottawa Senators. Nikita Kucherov scored a hat trick as the Bolts went up 4-1 at the end of the period.
The Lightning gave up the game’s first goal in the first, but then scored four unanswered goals in the second. Brayden Point, who’s having a strong game thus far, tied it up, and then it was the Nikita Kucherov Show. All three goals — Kucherov’s 24th, 25th and 26th of the season — came on the power play, and all three goals were assisted by Jonathan Drouin and a combination of Point, Victor Hedman and Tyler Johnson.
With his 2nd goal tonight, Nikita Kucherov moves into sole possession of 9th place on #Bolts all-time goals list w/ 93, passing Ryan Malone.
