Will former Oiler David Perron face Bolts tonight?

Breaking news at Pensburgh reveals that the Penguins have just traded Rob Klinkhammer and a first-round draft pick to Edmonton, for LW David Perron. Recently acquired from Phoenix, Rob Klinkhammer was a healthy scratch in the Penguins’ last game vs. Carolina.

Perron leaves the Oilers at the top of his game:

Perron, 26, has played the past two seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, appearing in a total of 116 games while registering 33 goals and 43 assists for 76 points. He established career highs with 28 goals and 57 points during the 2013-14 campaign. His 28 goals led all Edmonton players. (Source)

The trade frees Edmonton of cap space, as well as allowing them to invest in the future of their organization. The Penguins, in return, get a much-needed LW, with Pascal Dupuis on LTIR.

It remains to be seen whether the new Penguin will face the Bolts tonight at CONSOLE Energy Center.
