2012 Calder Cup Finals games 3 through 7 to air on CBS Sports Network

As the Norfolk Admirals and Toronto Marlies prepare for game 3 of the 2012 AHL Calder Cup Finals, a dynamic to this series has changed. Oh, it’s not the players on ice; it’s not the lineup (you’ll have to check elsewhere for that news). It’s the fact that American cable households will be able to watch the series from this point forward.

James Mirtle shared the news on Twitter that the AHL had announced an agreement to air the rest of the series – games 3, 4, and if-necessary 5, 6 and 7 – on CBS Sports Net in the US. CBS Sports Net isn’t as renowned as the regional Fox Sports Net channels, nor ESPN or NBC Sports, but it is available to 99 million cable subscribers nationally. Up until this point, Calder Cup final television broadcasts were only available to cable subscribers in Canada, in International markets, or via illegal feed.

For Tampa Bay residents, you can find the station on Bright House channels 139 (Standard) or 1137 (high-definition), and channel 94 on Verizon FiOS.

Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals, to be played in Toronto, is scheduled for Thursday, June 7th, at 7 PM.
