The Tampa Bay Lightning start their second round series with the Montreal Canadiens this evening at Bell Centre in Montreal, fresh off their series win over the Detroit Red Wings in the Atlantic Division Semifinals. The Canadiens have had some time off to rest and regroup after defeating the Ottawa Senators in the opening round of the playoffs.
Rest is over though. The test that lies ahead will determine the winner of the Atlantic Division title for 2015, and no dout the Canadiens want to make up for being swept by the Lightning during the regular season; the Lightning were the only team that made Hart Trophy and Vezina Trophy finalist goalie Carey Price look consistently mortal in net this season for the Habs. Price’s save percentage and GAA agaisnt Tampa (.906, 3.47) is a sight lower than his general numbers from the season (.933 save percentage, 1.93 GAA)
