Who wins the Eastern Conference and Western Conference to move on to the Stanley Cup Finals is still in question (and that one starts getting answered at 8 PM EDT Friday night) but the dates that the games of the 2015 Stanley Cup finals games will be played has been released to the public.
It’s the last segment of the quest that started in Ocftober, the chase of Lord Stanley’s Chalice, and that last segment begins Wednesday, June 3rd. Where that game will be played depends on who wins the East and Western Conference finals.
The exact schedule is thus:
- Game 1: Wednesday, June 3
- Game 2: Saturday, June 6
- Game 3: Monday, June 8
- Game 4: Wednesday, June 10
- Game *5: Saturday, June 13
- Game 6*: Monday, June 15
- Game 7*: Wednesday, June 17
* if necessary
There’s a quirk that’s unveiled itself with the release of the schedule, that of a conflict here in Tampa Bay should the Lightning defeat the New York Rangers tomorrow: Garth Brooks. The Country legend has an upcoming concert at Amalie Arena that coincides one of the dates the Finals are to be played. The Lightning making the Finals and who they play is the scheduling question mark. If it happens, if the conflict arises, then the Brooks concert will be postponed.
