Photo Gallery: AHL Eastern Conference Final, Syracuse Crunch vs. Providence Bruins
The Syracuse Crunch are the Eastern Conference Champions, thanks in part to their strong play at home.
For the Syracuse Crunch, there is truly no place like home. The Crunch are now 9-0 at the Onondaga County War Memorial during the 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs, undefeated at home regardless of the opponent through three rounds. Arguably, their strongest performance at home came during this series, the Eastern Conference Final vs. the Providence Bruins.
It’s difficult to put into words what a second conference championship means to this organization and its fans, though the players themselves have done a damn fine job of trying:
Hockey Graveyard!? Are you kidding me.... this city is lit! Syracuse fans know how to make some noise! Let's goo! #🔥🔥#FIN15H

Maybe, though, words can be enough...when supplemented with pretty, pretty photos.
Thanks so much to Scott Thomas for these amazing, emotional, gorgeous captures of the Crunch’s road to their second conference championship in organizational history.

(For more player reactions, be sure to check out Brandon Curtis’ article from the game Saturday night. I’d call it a game recap, but to do that would be a disservice to his effort and his writing. It is so much more than just a recap.)
Time to #FIN15H, boys.
Time to bring the Calder Cup home.
