Bolts in the pipeline: Nov 21-27

Hockey Canada announced their World Junior Championship camp roster this week and you can read up on it in depth here, but it’s great to see so many little Bolts heading to the big tournament. Canada’s actually making the goaltenders work for the job this year, so hopefully Connor Ingram can land a spot.

In regular game news, Boris Katchouk and Brett Howden both had big, big weeks, putting up two point-per-game averages with six points each.

Ross Colton joined in their fun and had four points in two games as Vermont won the Friendship Four tournament in Belfast over Thanksgiving weekend. The ‘Belpot’ is now safely in the hands of the Catamounts, perhaps just the start of building their trophy collection this year.

A good week for some, an okay week for others. 6 or 7 players performing where you’d want them to post draft (PPG is super important, especially forwards). The next few weeks will be fun with World Junior camps opening, and I love that tournament. Damn shame Buffalo used the cash grab of an outdoor game to win the bid for next year over Tampa. That would be a vacation to head to for sure.
