The Tampa Bay Lightning released their seven-game schedule of preseason exhibition games today, featuring home and home match-ups against frequent preseason opponents the Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators.
Home games will all be played at Amalie Arena.
In addition, the Lightning will face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first-ever “Kraft Hockeyville USA” game in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a game that will be televised nationally on NBCSN. Johnstown was selected “Kraft Hockeyville USA” through public voting for essays submitted at www.krafthockeyville.com. In addition to hosting the game, Johnstown’s Cambria County War Memorial Arena will receive $150,000 in upgrades. Johnstown was the inspiration for Charlestown and the Chiefs in the 1977 Paul Newman film “Slap Shot”.
The Lightning posted a record of 5-1-0 in the 2014 preseason, during which they outscored opponents 22-8.
A date for tickets to go on sale has not been announced yet.
